I have had this wrap on my Holton H179 since I got it (~16 years ago) - that wrap has shown almost no signs of aging, and if anything, has gotten more soft and supple over the years of use. It is very thin and does not add unnecessary bulk under the left hand, creating a more natural feel. I can't imagine playing without it - I would feel naked.After my recent acquisition of a Holton H181, this was the first item that I bought (the second being lever protectors). For me, this wrap is an essential component of my horn playing experience. It can be a little challenging to lace up and it will seem as though the string that comes with the wrap is too small - I promise it is not. As you go, you will have to keep tightening the strings (like lacing up a pair of boots) to get more string to use to finish lacing - at the very end, I had about two inches of string on each side with which to tie. As you can see in the attached images, the wrap fits very snuggly after you tighten the lacework. Feel free to use the attached image to guide your lacing if you are unsure how to begin (I started at the top and worked down (in terms of the orientation of the image).
