Our Hamilton Beach Scovill blender has made 8000 milkshakes and 5000 smoothies since we bought it in the late 1980s and it wasn't til a couple weeks ago that we managed to break the thick glass pitcher. I thought that was the end of the road for ol reliable and we'd have to buy a new one, which wouldn't be as good or last nearly as long. Then I found this replacement pitcher and carefully read all the q&a entries and reviews and with some misgivings ordered one. I believe all reviewers, and some had reported bad experiences, leaky gaskets, barely enough threads to screw on the collar holding the blades, a top too small to use the original lid etc. I believe any and all of these issues may have cropped up depending on the H-B blender in question. Ours is a Hamilton Beach Scovill 14 speed, model number 632-1, and was purchased new (we think we recall) in 1988. I'm sure this pitcher fits other models of a similar vintage and style (see photos). The pitcher is slightly taller and slightly more slender than the original. It's marked with ml/liters on one side and oz/cups on the other, just like the original. It has a slightly larger capacity than the original (6 cups to 5).Because the replacement pitcher is more slender, the lid is not a great fit, as reviewers have noted. I could get it more or less in place, but you can see from the photos it's not quite right. My solution is, the old pitcher held 5 cups and this one holds 6 so we can blend the same amounts as always and the liquid will be further from the top than before anyway. So a great fit is not mandatory. With some careful trimming I think you could get the lid to fit better, but I'm not going there with mine. Some reviewers also said their bottom collar could barely screw onto the bottom of the pitcher and therefore it leaked. To my eye, the threads on the two pitchers I have are identical, and the collar seated down tightly to my feel. The true test of a blender is blending something, so I immediately blended up a raspberry smoothie, which I'm enjoying now as I write this review, with no leakage at all. The thread issue probably has to do with the model of various blenders. All in all, this is a great replacement pitcher that fits the blender of this model virtually perfectly. Highly recommend, but be careful to do your homework as to the model and vintage of your particular blender.
